We are pleased to announce the adoption of Apollo (formerly Sunny)!
Apollo (formerly Sunny) came to BCR in May 2015 as a friendly 2 year old cat in search of a new home. When Apollo arrived in his foster home he was immediately curious and playful.
He settled quickly into his foster home with Kristen and Andrew where we learned that Apollo needed some work on his manners! When he became overexcited from petting or playing, Apollo tended to swat at his foster family. As he became more comfortable with his surroundings and his foster family, he mellowed out and his manners improved. Apollo also got along fine with Kristen’s cats after his week of isolation, turns out he’s a really friendly guy.
Chisato contacted Black Cat Rescue to find a new companion for herself and her husband. She has never had a cat of her own before, but a soft spot for strays and a streak of patience has served her well while caring for dogs, rabbits, birds, and other furry creatures in the past. In the distant future, Chisato and her family may adopt a dog, so she wanted a friendly, confident cat that might be up for company one day.
Susanna, the BCR Adoption Coordinator, thought Apollo would make a good match because he’s so friendly and playful. When Chisato met Apollo in his foster home they really hit it off and she decided to adopt him almost immediately.
Now Apollo is living the good life! He went to his new forever home in late June and has settled in very well! With a huge cat tree all to himself, new toys, and the dedicated affection of Chisato and her husband, we know Apollo will have a great life with his new forever family.
Congratulations again to Apollo and Chisato!
